The Kivalliq Science Educators’ Community’s program budget is in excess of $120,000. KSEC relies upon the strong support from key financial partners to balance this budget and deliver it’s annual programs. Organizations or individuals interested in becoming a KSEC Partner may contact the Kivalliq Science Educator’s Community or a member of the KSEC Executive directly.

Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. provides funding to underwrite the cost of all KSEC regional programming. Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. is also the core sponsor for Math Month held in the month of March in schools throughout the Kivalliq region. In addition, Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. sponsors a regional science fair award for the top project in the senior category. |

AREVA Resources Canada provides funding to underwrite the cost of all KSEC regional programming. AREVA Resources also sponsors a regional science fair award for the top project in the intermediate category.

Kivalliq Partners in Development (KPID) provides funding to underwrite the cost of all KSEC regional programming. KPID also sponsors a regional science fair award for the top project in the junior category.

The Department of Economic Development and Transportation is the core sponsor for the Kivalliq Science Culture Camp.

Calm Air International provides discounted airfare for the Kivalliq Science Culture Camp and the Kivalliq Regional Science Fair. In addition, Calm Air has donated two system-wide airfare tickets as the grand prize for our awards banquet at the Kivalliq Regional Science Fair.

The District Education Authorities (DEA) in each of the seven Kivalliq communities also provide financial support for both the Kivalliq Science Culture Camp and the Kivalliq Regional Science Fair.
