This past March we celebrated Math Month! As part of the month’s activities a “Pi contest” was held to celebrate March 14 (3.14). Schools could enter submissions into three different categories:
- -Edible Pi
- -Largest Pi symbol
- -Most creative Pi symbol
Congratulations to the winners of the first annual KSEC “Pi contest”:
“Edible Pi” Winners for their deliciously tasting chocolate pies displaying the π symbol
(Victor Sammurtok School, Chesterfield Inlet)
“Largest Pi” Winners measuring 18.5m (wide) x 9.5m (long)
(Tusarvik School, Repulse Bay)
“Most Creative Pi Symbol” Winners created 3-D pi symbols that were 3.14ft tall and 3.14in thick. They even created 3.14 of them!
